On April 23, local time, the Italian Ministry of Health and the Institute of Advanced Health jointly held a routine epidemic briefing to analyze recent monitoring data.    Monitoring data showed that the incidence of new coronary pneumonia in Italy was 157.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants within a week from April 12 to 18. The "effective infection index" Rt value further dropped to 0.81.
