Advanced public health and hygiene company Shenzhen Mingzengyuan Technology Co., LTD. Today announced the results of tests of its deep ULTRAVIOLET UVCLED disinfection solution. The results showed LightS, deep ULTRAVIOLET UVCLED can quickly and effectively kill bacteria in hospitals and home environments more quickly than currently common bactericidal products, further eliminating the risk of mutual infection in the public and home environments.

A LightS deep ULTRAVIOLET UVCLED can kill 99.9999 percent of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), listeria and Salmonella bacteria samples in 60 seconds. Use multiple deep ULTRAVIOLET uvstrong to kill bacteria faster or to kill more bacteria samples.

Using LightS technology, the 275 nanometre emission wavelength strong ULTRAVIOLET UVCLED, the researchers irradiated bacteria samples from 10 millimeters away. They measured changes in the number of bacteria at intervals between five and 80 seconds. At 5 seconds, 99.99% of the bacteria are killed. At 60 seconds, 99.9999 percent of the bacteria are killed. The study was conducted in an accredited third party laboratory.

LightS Technology Chairman Mr King said: "Recent outbreaks of infectious diseases in hospitals, including superbugs, highlight the need for more effective disinfection solutions. This test study demonstrates the rapid, strong disinfection capabilities of LightS Technology, deep ULTRAVIOLET UVCLED, and demonstrates the important role this technology can play in preventing the global spread of disease."

The results of the study showed that deep ultraviolet UVCLED irradiation can efficiently kill bacteria faster and more completely than current disinfection solutions. Hospitals often use chemical disinfectants, but this method takes several minutes to kill bacteria such as MRSA and salmonella effectively. Common alcohol-based hand sanitizers take a minute or more to become fully effective, but are only 99.99 percent effective. Longer exposure times increase the risk of human error and failure to fully disinfect.

Although the deep ultraviolet light sources produced by traditional mercury lamps can be disinfected, they are too large, fragile and contain mercury, a harmful, restricted substance. LightS Technology Deep UV UVCLED has strong sterilizing power per square millimeter in all of its strong UV leds, making it compact and fast to incorporate into other applications such as sterilizing catheters, doctors' phones, and hospital door handles in areas with high risk of infection.
