U.S. National Sanitation Foundation lists UV LED technology in drinking water treatment standards
According to reports, the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF International) has updated drinking water treatment standards to provide a more effective method to treat microorganisms in drinking water. The revised NSF/ANSI 55 standard: "Ultraviolet Microbiological Water Treatment Systems" (Ultraviolet Microbiological Water Treatment Systems) sets new standards for the use of UV LED technology to achieve microbial reduction treatment, and provides new test methods to verify manufacturers' products.
