According to the official public account of Nanjing Xinshiyuan, Nanjing Xinshiyuan Electronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xinshiyuan) electroluminescent quantum dot silicon-based microdisplay has been successfully lit up.
It is reported that QLED (Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diodes, Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diodes) is a self-luminous technology. Because of its high luminous efficiency, high tuning accuracy, narrow light emission peak and other advantages, it can achieve high saturation and wide color gamut display. Demand is one of the development directions of the next-generation color high-resolution display technology.
As a next-generation microdisplay technology, silicon-based quantum dot microdisplays have superior display performance such as high contrast, high resolution, wide color gamut, high color saturation, low power consumption and high brightness, and will be wearable in the Metaverse in the future. The device will surely shine.
Coreview Micro QLED display products use FHD silicon-based backplanes with a resolution of 5648PPI, which is the world first electroluminescent silicon-based quantum dot product. The product is jointly developed by Southeast University, Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen Pulang Quantum Semiconductor Co., Ltd., and Coreview, and is expected to be officially released at the end of April 2022.
In fact, before Micro QLED, Nanjing Coreview also released a silicon-based Micro LED chip: Tianmu III-010-A on October 29, 2021.
Tianmu III-010-A is the first Micro LED chip independently developed by Coreview. According to reports, Tianmu III-010-A Micro LED chip size is 18μm × 18μm, the display size is 0.39 inches, the resolution is 480 × 270, the brightness is over 25000cd/㎡, the contrast ratio is 100000:1, and the refresh rate is 60Hz. The product has won a number of patents and is mainly used in emerging markets such as lightweight AR glasses, vehicle head-up displays, and smart lights.
According to public information, Coreview was established in 2017 and is mainly engaged in the research and development of smart display chips. Its products include silicon-based LCoS microdisplay chips, silicon-based OLED microdisplay chips, silicon-based Micro LED microdisplay chips, and spatial light modulators, etc. , aiming at AR/VR/MR display, vehicle HUD, optical communication, optical computing, 3D printing and other emerging fields.
