Led Light Power Technology
A passive LED power technology inHongkong won the forty-sixth Geneva International Invention Award. The technology was approved by the Hongkong road administration department in 2016 and 2017 with the "pilot plan", and a total of 13 branch lights and lighting lamps were installed in the basketball court of Shi Ao Tsui Road and Shatin Kung Kung Kok Street.
Wang Hanbang, a patent holder with the research and development technology co - operated with University of Hong Kong, said that the current electrolysis and integrated circuits used in street lights in Hongkong are easily affected by unstable factors such as heat and thunderstorms. The switch power supply system used in the newly invented LED lamp can solve this problem. The power supply can operate at least 60000 hours in high temperature environment, and can reduce the consumption of parts, so that the energy efficiency can be more than 50%. Wang Hanbang said he hopes to expand the technology to the streetlights in Hongkong, and will also strive to reduce the volume of light and lower production costs in the future.
