According to reports, yesterday (14), the UK's Halma Group's UV Group (including member companies Aquionics, Berson and Hanovia, three brands comprising We UVCare) announced the launch of a new UVC device AirLine UVv for air conditioning systems. Helps kill harmful pathogens such as the new coronavirus.

This new type of UVC equipment uses a high-output medium-pressure UVC lamp, which can inactivate harmful pathogens such as molds, spores, bacteria and viruses suspended in the air, and can be easily converted into commercial and light industrial HVAC piping systems.

It is reported that the existing UV equipment used in air conditioning systems usually uses low-output lamps or LEDs to reduce bacterial contaminants on coils or filters. These fixed surfaces can be sterilized and purified by long-term ultraviolet irradiation. However, for airborne pathogens, higher output UV lamps are required to effectively sterilize. AirLine UVv equipment can provide sufficient deep ultraviolet light, and the inactivation rate of harmful pathogens in high-speed airflow is 99.99%. When the air passes through the AirLine UVv's high-output medium-pressure lamps, airborne pathogens are killed.

According to the data, Halma Group was founded in 1894. It is a multinational investment group in the safety, health, and environmental protection industries, headquartered in Amersham, northwestern corner of London. Aquionics, Berson and Hanovia have always been independent companies of the Halma Group, located in different places. Among them, Aquionics is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, Berson is located in Nunnen, the Netherlands, and Hanovia is located in London, England. It established an office in Shanghai in 2006 and established an independent production base in 2015. Based on the industrial market, Hanovia focuses on the development and application research of UV lamps and UV systems, providing global UV curing lamp products and equipment; Berson focuses on the municipal market; Aquionics combines its products in the US market. The UV Group, composed of three major brands, has more than 150 years of comprehensive experience in developing UV systems.
