With the development of LED technology, the brightness of LED electronic display is increasing, and the size is smaller and smaller, which indicates that more LED electronic displays will be the trend of the future. However, the increase of LED brightness and pixel density will bring new higher requirements to LED screen control and drive. In terms of general indoor screen, now general control method adopts control mode, known as scanning mode, for the moment the LED electronic display driver mode has two kinds of static scan and dynamic scan, static scan is divided into static compaction pixels and static virtual, dynamic scanning is also divided into dynamic realities and dynamic virtual.


In the LED electronic display, the number of rows that are lit and the number of rows in the entire region is described as the scanning mode. And the scan is divided by 1/2 sweep, 1/4 sweep, 1/8 sweep, 1/16 sweep, etc. That is to say, the way the display is driven is different, so the Settings for the receiving card are different. If the receiving card was originally used on a 1/4 scan and is now used on a static screen, the display on the display will be on a line of four lines. The general receiving card can be set up, connect the main components such as the card, the display screen, the computer, etc., can enter the relevant software on the computer to carry on the setting. 1. Scanning mode of LED electronic display:

1, dynamic scanning: dynamic scanning from the output of the driver IC to the practice of "point to the column" between pixel, the control of dynamic scanning need control circuit, the cost is lower than static scan, but the display effect is poorer, brightness loss is bigger.


2, static scan: static scan from the output of the driver IC to the practice of "point to point" between pixel, the control of static scan don't need to control circuit, the cost higher than the dynamic scan, but the display effect is good, good stability and the advantages of less brightness loss and so on.


Working principle of the 1/4 scanning mode of LED electronic display:

It is the time of each line of power supply V1 - V4 in 1 frame. The advantage of this is that you can make more efficient use of the display features of leds and reduce hardware costs. The disadvantage is that in 1 frame, each LED can display only a quarter of the time.

 Classification of LED electronic display type scanning mode:

1. The scanning mode of indoor full-color LED electronic display: P4 and P5 are constant current 1/16, P6 and P7.62 are constant current 1/8.

2.Outdoor full-color LED electronic display scanning mode: P10, P12 for constant current 1/2, 1/4, P16, P20, P25 for static.

3. The scanning mode of the single-color LED electronic display is mainly the constant current 1/4, the constant current 1/8 sweep, the constant current 1/16 sweep.
