With the increase in LED applications in monitors and TVs, as well as new designs such as 240hz3d and hybrid backlight panels, more LED chips are expected to grow by 13% to more than 5 billion of LED netbooks, monitors and TV panels.
Regional studies have shown that China's market share has risen sharply, from 31% to 64%, while South Korea's share fell from 27% to 5%. China's MOCVD purchases are expected to continue into 2011, which will exceed 70% of the market share, boosting the entire MOCVD market by more than 1000, to meet the rapid expansion of LED manufacturers.
