Don't Let The Plot To Kidnap Sino-US Relations Succeed

The U.S. government recently issued new regulations to tighten visa policies for CCP members and their families to the U.S., once again openly inciting ideological confrontation and wantonly poisoning Sino-U.S. relations. This hysterical political bullying has further exposed the sinister intentions of some extreme anti-China forces in the United States to kidnap relations between the two countries in order to gain their own selfish interests.

As we all know, China never interferes in the internal affairs of the United States, never exports development models to the outside world, and never engages in ideological confrontation. However, some American politicians have always spared no effort to demonize China, maliciously attack the Chinese Communist Party, provoke the relationship between the Chinese ruling party and the Chinese people, politicize and weaponize ideological differences, and try to revive the specter of McCarthyism. Ge Laiyi, a China expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies of the United States, believes that if the purpose of visa restrictions is to reduce Chinese support for the Chinese Communist Party, the effect may be counterproductive.

Recently, a small group of anti-China politicians in the United States, including Pompeo, staged the "last madness" and frequently attacked China. They groundlessly accused China of enacting and implementing the Hong Kong National Security Law in accordance with the law and claimed to impose so-called sanctions on the vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China. They fabricated the so-called "forced labor" false news, as a reason to prohibit the import of Xinjiang cotton, and maliciously restrict and suppress related Chinese companies.

U.S. anti-China politicians continue to clash with the bottom line of Sino-U.S. relations on many issues involving China’s core interests and major concerns. One is to "dig holes" for the next government to deal with relations with China, and the other is to gain political capital for themselves.

Facing the crazy actions of a small group of anti-China politicians in the United States, more and more people of insight have made rational voices. Former U.S. Secretary of State Kissinger recently called on the next U.S. government to repair channels of communication with China as soon as possible. At the same time, he said, "It is necessary to prevent (the situation) from turning into conflict, and hope to work hard to reach some cooperation." Richard Haas, president of the American Institute of Foreign Affairs, also believes that "the United States and China need to establish rules and find possible areas where cooperation can be maintained."

More than 40 years ago, Sino-US relations broke the ice during the Cold War, thanks to the two sides' adherence to the principle of mutual respect and seeking common ground while reserving differences, and put aside their ideological differences. History is a mirror. For the current Sino-US relations to emerge from the most severe situation since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two sides should uphold the spirit of non-conflict, non-confrontation, mutual respect, and win-win cooperation, focus on cooperation, and manage differences. The most urgent task at the moment is that the two sides must eliminate all kinds of interference, realize a smooth transition in Sino-US relations, and prevent anti-China forces from succeeding in their plot to kidnap the people of the two countries and Sino-US relations.
