For all Jerry Jones has accomplished to secure a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, what the Cowboys owner has done in his backyard can't be overlooked.
In a seven-year span, Jones debuted two world-class venues in North Texas.
Jones' vision became reality when AT&T Stadium opened in 2009 in Arlington. The state-of-the-art facility was originally called Cowboys Stadium but is affectionately known as JerryWorld.
Jones went big in almost every way in building the stadium, including the giant high-definition video screen that hangs above the field.
Just last year, Jones kept the momentum rolling for the world's most valuable sports franchise by upgrading the Cowboys' team headquarters with a new facility at The Star in Frisco.
Of course, several sponsorship deals are part of the package at The Star, too, from the Ford Center to Tostitos Plaza.
Jones and the Cowboys remain hopeful they can show off both venues for one event by bringing the NFL draft to Texas for the first time in 2018. The NFL is expected to announce the location for next year's draft within the next few months.
