In order for the spectators to come closer to the playing field, the interior was lowered by approx. 5m. Extended by a new inner spectator ring "Inner Ring" with standing room in the east curve and additional seats directly on the field. The characteristic blue tartan track is optically retained. In the upper tier, the architectural visualization shows a suspended banner. The aim was to make the stadium look more compact. A very large, wide stadium has an oppressive rather than a positive effect on the atmosphere, especially when football matches are not so well attended. The new banners also enable further marketing opportunities for the association. At major events, the banner can be removed and the upper tier can be filled.
